Everything you need to know before your session

Which massage should I book?

If you are unsure which service to book, please call or email me for assistance. I would be more than happy to chat with you about your individual needs.

How should I prepare for my session?

Due to the close proximity of bodywork, it is suggested that you shower prior to your session.

What should I expect during my session?

FIRST VISIT ONLY: Please arrive 10 minutes early for an intake meeting with me. This gives us time to address specific issues and talk about your health history. Intake is mandatory, and will take time from your booked session if you arrive late.
BEFORE: Each session, we will discuss our focus and treatment for the day before I leave the room to allow you to get comfortable on the table. My studio will be kept warm and soothing, but please let me know if there is anything I can adjust to make it perfect for you.
DURING: The work we are doing is completely collaborative. I understand the vulnerability that comes with each massage session, so you may undress to YOUR level of comfort–I can accommodate you wherever that lies. I assure you, I am extremely diligent in always appropriately covering your body during our session.

While on my table, we can have a good chat, you can just relax, or you can fall asleep. I will follow your lead. I do ask that you PLEASE speak up if anything is causing more discomfort than you'd like. The last thing I want is for you to have a bad experience.

AFTER: Your healing doesn't stop once you leave my studio. Your body has been kicked into overdrive, so expect to have a little homework from me at the end of our session–it could be a relaxing hot tea or some stretching/strengthening to do at home. Whether you are here for therapeutic reasons or just to relax, I ALWAYS suggest getting in as much hydration as possible post-massage.

Do you have a bathroom?

A private bathroom is available for use across from the massage room.

What about payment?

Online payments are processed through Stripe.

All first-time clients must prepay for their booking. Each session after costs 50% to book and the balance will be due at the studio.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, I cannot accept insurance at this time. However, I believe everyone deserves access to care–regardless of financial situation. If you are concerned about costs, please reach out to me so we can discuss your individual circumstances.

Should I tip?

Tips are always appreciated, but never expected. Money I receive from tips gives me the ability to reserve space in my schedule for those who struggle financially to find care. In the future, I dream of the ability to offer more time to people in situations that prohibit them from booking a session. I believe everyone should have access to care, regardless of their financial situation.

Do you have gift packages?

I offer individual massages and packages that you may choose to use yourself or gift to a friend. Packages are grouped at a discounted rate. Both are available here.
